A local community garden has received a donation from a Hallmark movie filming in St. Petersburg. According to Bay News 9, producers of the flick, fittingly titled Garden Party, gave away mulch from their set to the Old Southeast Community Garden.
You see, Garden Party, which has shot scenes at various locations around St. Pete, is driven by its own community garden.
Old Southeast Community Garden founder Aila Erman told Bay News 9 that she asked about the mulch after seeing it on set from her high-rise condo's window.
"On the roof of the James Museum and the parking garage, there was a garden in full bloom," Erman said. "And I looked again around 11:30 or noon and everything was gone except for the mulch and one guy sweeping up."
A couple of days later, she moved the mulch into the community garden.
Garden Party is scheduled to premiere on the Hallmark Channel April 6.
