Compilation discs have proven to be one of the more effective ways of getting homegrown music in the hands of the masses. Stand Up, a CD created to generate funds for homeless and street kids, doubles as a fine representation of Tampa Bay's indie/alt-rock scene. Highlights include the all-female band Doll Parts' mournful yet catchy lament "Mascara Smears," the delicate pop-folk of sister duo Inertia's "Make You Mine" and Jeremy Gloff's charmingly quirky pop ditty "Afraid Too." 3 stars
