A study out of The University of Hong Kong discovered that around 54% of smokers with erectile dysfunction significantly reduced their symptoms within half a year by quitting smoking. Of the patients who maintained their habit, only 28% reported better sexual performance within a six month period. Based on these findings, giving up nicotine gives ED sufferers a 91% greater chance of curving their sexual dysfunction and improving their sex lives. The study involved 700 male smokers between 30 and 50 who suffered from impotence.
