Blurring the lines between illusion and reality, the dancer-illusionists of MOMIX use props, light, shadow, humor and their bodies to produce a form of contemporary dance that fools the naked eye. Artistic director Moses Pendleton — who formed the group in the early 1980s — is known for his innovative vision and inventive choreography, and his imagination serves as the foundation for the surreal programs presented by the company. The most recent MOMIX endeavor, Lunar Sea, is a visually fantastic illustration of life on the moon without any profound ideas about astronomy. Black-light effects make up many of the illusions in this show, its dancers glowing and then vanishing into the dark,or tilting at precarious angles and walking, swimming, sitting and floating on the air. The enchanting multimedia production stops in Tampa this Thursday. Feb. 1, 8 p.m., Ferguson Hall-Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, downtown Tampa, $20-$45.50, 813-229-7827, tbpac.org.
