"[One] caller cut a turkey in half with a chain saw, then worried that oil on the saw might have transferred onto the turkey."
"A Kentucky woman was in the doghouse when she called the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line. While preparing the turkey, her Chihuahua jumped into the bird's body cavity and couldn't get out. She tried pulling the dog and shaking the bird, but nothing worked."

"My mother, my niece (there to help with the dinner preps) and myself had finally sat down for a rest on Thanksgiving eve. My niece went out to the kitchen to get something, and I heard her call me to the kitchen. When I got out there, she told me she had come in on my dog, (a Brittany) paws up on the counter, chewing away at a turkey leg!!! She had never gotten up to the counter before. After much laughing and damage assessment, it was decided to cut off the leg and save that for the dog, and the rest of the bird would be served to the guests, none the wiser!!"
