Here are some things Tampa Bay needs to be a better place in four years.
  • Affordable, social housing at 30% less than homeowner/renter income.
  • Strong public education systems that support workers through their unions and students through fully resourced schools and classrooms.
  • Well-integrated Multi-modal transportation that emphasizes mass transit, bicycling, and pedestrian infrastructure (so, you know, we arenโ€™t in the top 10 in the country for killing cyclists and pedestrians).
  • Stop greed based healthcare, and instead offer free healthcare for all.
  • Our electric companies should also be not-for-profit, and preferably government owned to ensure we emphasize cheap green energy that is sustainable with the challenges of climate change.
Workers in Tampa Bay deserve to live where they work without long commutes. They deserve to easily get to different area in a timely fashion that doesnโ€™t harm our planet. They deserve to learn evidence based information using current technologies and community building learning. They deserve to live to an old age. They destroyed to have their basic needs met while contributing an affordable, reasonable price, instead of padding CEO and investor pockets.โ€”Christy Foust
