In 2022, baseball legend Derek Jeter sold his Davis Islands compound for $22.5 million, setting a record for the most expensive home ever sold in Tampa Bay. Last April, a listing in Odessa knocked that asking price out of the park.
Located at 18725 Jiretz Rd., the home was completed in 2024 and belongs to a trust related to local attorney Brandon Kemp.
Designed by architect Phil Kean, the 16,114-square-foot estate sits on nearly five acres along Lake Ford, and comes with a total of six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, as well as a six-car garage, movie theater, guesthouse, tennis and pickleball courts, boat house, sauna, home gym, massive water slide, and arguably one of the largest infinity pools in the area.
The home was asking $38.5 million, making it the most expensive home on the market in Tampa Bay. But just two weeks ago, the home got a $1 million price cut. If sold at this price, it would still be tied for the most expensive single-family home ever sold in the area.
The listing surpasses last year’s asking price of a Mandalay Point home in Clearwater Beach, which was originally listed at $37.5 million and was the most expensive listing at the time.
