A news conference was scheduled to be held this morning involving a host of local and federal agencies announcing the results of a six month investigation regarding tax fraud happening in Tampa, a story that is detailed by Elaine Silvestrini and Lauren Mayk in today's Tribune..
According to the Tampa Police Department, they told the Tribune and WFLA-News Channel 8 to hold off publication of the story after Silvestrini obtained a federal court document that revealed the extensive tax fraud taking place, because of the feds hadn't completed their investigation yet.
