Years later, the home also belonged to Tampa developer Julian Hawthorne Lifsey Jr., who was responsible for developing much of the Rocky Point area in the early-1950s.
According to property records, the Gilmer House was last sold in 2016 for $1,665,000, and hit the market in May of 2024 with an asking price of $5,995,000. The listing was removed last month, but the home is now back on the market with a new listing agent and a new price tag of $5,200,000.
The listing agent is now Stephen Gay of Smith & Associates.
The Gilmer House comes with 5,384-square-feet of living space, as well as five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also features a pool and spa, vaulted ceilings, a guest house, and more. According to the listing, the home underwent a major remodel in 2018.
