Around 1,000 bags of non-perishable holiday food items are being distributed by Winters and Yonker law offices this Tuesday from 10:30 a.m-2 p.m. at 601 W Swann Ave.
“Winters and Yonker is doing a huge giveback to our community,” Lauren Varner, legal assistant at Winters and Yonker said in a video published on the firm’s Facebook.
Varner explained that the food includes, “all of your staple sides for your holiday,” and because the food is non-perishable, it can be used throughout the holiday season.
Winters and Yonker encourages those who show up to their offices to enter through the Swann entrance and exit onto Bayshore.
While they distributed some of the bags today, Anthony J. Raiano III, intake coordinator at Winters and Yonker told CL that there are still plenty left—one bag per family and while supplies last.
The firm also said that local groups who know of people in need should reach out to discuss if arrangements can be made to distribute the food.
