CL political wonk Mitch Perry had Gov. Rick Scott's 2012 budget announcement on the office TV today. As the Governor droned on about his plans to eviscerate the middle and lower classes to better enrich his billionaire buddies (I'm paraphrasing), my attention drifted in and out. How have we not arrested this guy already? Are there no laws in this God-forsaken state?!!?
Then the Gov. decided to take a few questions. Oops.
One reporter quizzed Scott about the drug testing of government employees and asked if the Gov. was willing to pee into the paper cup he was holding, adding "we'll all turn around" to give you some privacy. The reporter? Former Tampa resident and USF grad Aasif Mandvi, obviously gathering footage for a future report on The Daily Show.
