The Dive Bar Stalkers debut

And Rock the House

Rock the House

Fronted by former Mojo Gurus/Roxx Gang guitarist Jeff Vitolo, The Dive Bar Stalkers issued their debut disc, Rock the House, which alternates between brash Southern rock and over-the-top psychobilly, with the song "Sweet Missy Blue" bordering on Southern metal. Big guitar riffs and some impressive slide playing, especially on "Ready For Another Round," bolster Vitolo's everyman vocals and pedestrian lyrics. Keyboard, bass, giant drums and the occasional harmonica blast are also executed with assuredness. As the group's name suggests, it's a bar band, one meant to be enjoyed with an ample supply of domestic suds and Wild Turkey shots. 3 stars
