"The Advocate" has released its 2011 list of the 15 gayest cities in America. While the Tampa Bay area didn't make the cut, two locales on the list are right here in Florida. Though people not from here often assume that all Orlando has going for it is Mickey and Minnie, the city landed the number four spot, edging out places like Seattle and Denver. And Miami rounds out the list at number 15.
San Francisco (number 11 on "The Advocate's" list) is now home to the nation's first gay history museum. The museum opened its doors in the infamous Castro district and will rely heavily on donations and volunteers.
Canada's Broadcast Standards Council has deemed Dire Straits' hit song "Money for Nothing" too offensive to play on the radio. The song came into question last year when a listener complained about the use of the word "faggot" in the lyrics.
