In an effort to warn visitors of an LGBT takeover, the anti-gay Florida Family Association flew a plane with a banner over Disney World's Magic Kingdom last weekend to let park-goers know that Saturday was "Gay Day," part of an annual week-long Pride celebration in Orlando. The group said it wanted to warn families at the park, as many "are offended by the public celebration of such immoral and irresponsible behavior."
The CFO of the company behind the Gayborhood application and website, which help users locate gay-friendly businesses in their city, says the Tampa Bay area is now its second largest market after Atlanta.
To celebrate gay pride month, the AARP has debuted a new website geared towards members of the LGBT community who are 50 and older. The site will feature trivia, quizzes and information pertinent to that age group.
