As if we needed more reasons to love Tim Gunn and for that matter, Dan Savage. The Project Runway guru's heartfelt, candid video message to gay youth, in which he talks about surviving a suicide attempt as a teenager, is just one among hundreds of powerful videos in the It Gets Better Project, a YouTube/Facebook phenomenon launched by Savage to combat gay teen suicides.
The range of participants, both gay and gay-friendly, is extraordinary: Kathy Griffin, Jake Shears, a gay Jehovah's Witness, Zachary Quinto, Chaz Bono, a gay cop and a gay marine, a Muslim gay teen, Sarah Silverman, the Modern Family guys, Glee's Chris Colfer, a Columbine survivor, a California teacher, Ke$ha, a gay park ranger, CLGBT's own Jeremy Gloff, the touring company of Chicago a cross-section of voices, some heart-rending, some sweet, some funny, all saying yes, it will get better. View Tim Gunn's message above; see more videos, and read more about Savage's project, after the break.
