The Pride Issue: LGBT family pictures

All photos by Todd Bates.

Taking a cue from this year's St. Pete Pride theme, "Celebrate Family," the 2010 CL Pride Issue looks at the multiple faces of family in the LGBT community — including the faces below, shot photo-booth style by CL Creative Director Todd Bates.

The portraits represent a range of families — work colleagues; parents and children; partners in life and in business. Some of the subjects aren't LGBT, but they're definitely S (for Sympathetic). And the members of CL's newest family — the contributors to our new gay community website, CLGBT — had just met moments before photos were taken.

CLGBT launches this weekend during the St. Pete Pride Street Festival. Stop by our booth on Central (in front of Queenshead) to learn more — and, if you like, sign up as a contributor. And while you're there, get your own family snapshots taken. Whether it's you and your partner, you and 10 friends, or you, your mom, your stepdad and your elderly cat, it's OK — you're family.
