The seat of heat

COMEDY

You know him, you love him, you think he's your guy. Problem is, so does everybody else. Jon Stewart, stalwart host of The Daily Show and network news execs' nightmare, appears for two shows this Saturday night, though chances are he'll sell out (the shows, not his integrity). Don't worry if you're not lucky enough to score a ticket — scaling the Tampa Bay Performing Art Center's walls and watching from the ceiling is always an option. But if you're more of the I-don't-like-to-get-arrested type, Paula Poundstone (Chicago Public Radio's Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me) performs at TBPAC on Friday and Dave Attell (Comedy Central's Insomniac with Dave Attell) graces the Tampa Improv stage all weekend. Stewart, Sat., Jan. 20, 7 and 9:30 p.m., Carol Morsani Hall-TBPAC, downtown Tampa, $68.50 and $78.50, 800-955-1045, tbpac.org; Poundstone, Fri., Jan. 19, 7:30 p.m., Ferguson Hall-TBPAC, $20; and Attell, Jan. 19-21, times vary, Tampa Improv, 1600 E. Eighth Ave., Centro Ybor, Ybor City, $25, 813-864-4000, tampaimprov.com.
