The U.S. Senate is crafting and drafting groundbreaking, bipartisan legislation that could bring clean energy to America. Any day now, three of our U.S. senators from different perspectives and backgrounds– John Kerry, Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman – are expected to introduce a comprehensive clean energy and climate bill. This legislation is a big deal. It could be the breakthrough we need to bring clean energy to America, which will create millions of new jobs and make our nation energy independent.
Senator Harry Reid has asked Senator Kerry to produce a revamped climate and clean energy bill, which Kerry has promised in the next two weeks. I hope others will join me in making more phone calls to tell Senators LeMieux and Nelson that Florida needs the jobs that clean energy can bring (an estimated 78,000 in Florida).
