Good Monday morning to all of you, and my best to New York Jets fans crestfallen today (I don't feel that way about the Bears, however – good 2nd half comeback but never a true contender in my humble opinion).
Big political week of course because President Obama delivers his State of the Union tomorrow night. Yesterday Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor were on the network Sunday shows already ready to criticize Obama's calls for more "investment."
Colin Powell was also on CNN yesterday, where he said he wasn't sure if he would vote for Obama again in 2012 – but didn't say he wouldn't, either.
There's a new political website up today that will track all the news about Florida's redistricting battle in 2012 written by blogger Peter Schorsch.
And we chatted with Tampa mayoral candidate Ed Turanchik late Friday afternoon – with Ed and CL trying to get on the same page on exactly where he stands today on the issue of light rail's possibilities for success in Tampa Bay.
