What a weekend! If you didn’t get a chance to see us—you missed out! We gave away so much free stuff.
Our first stop this weekend was Irish 31 in Westchase, repping New Belgium Brewing. Not only were Fat Fire and Summer Helles on special for $5 each, but we gave out free samples of both! Yes, completely free—no strings attached. Seriously, restaurant-goers couldn’t have been happier! The wheel featured some of the coolest prizes we’ve ever seen—comfy T-shirts, tie-dye frisbees, free pints of beer, lip balm, koozies, bottle openers and even a chance to win a NB Fat Tire bike!
The New Belgium love continued into Saturday, where we set up at Crabby Bill’s in Indian Rocks Beach. Fat Fire and Snapshot were on special for $5 and, again, we sampled both for free! Folks couldn’t get enough of New Belgium—so much so that our table was completely bare by the end of the night!
On Sunday, we set up at the Tampa Theatre, getting back to what the Street Team does best: promote Creative Loafing and give away awesome CL prizes! We had logo totes, stickers and tattoos; Improv Tickets (including tickets to see Christian Finnegan on 4th of July weekend!) and Blu-ray copies of Lone Survivor. What a great turnout for the first Sunday of the this year's Summer Movie Classics Series—there was a line out on Franklin Street in downtown Tampa before the theatre even opened!
Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and can’t wait to see you this week at Sculley’s in Madeira Beach on Friday and Whiskey Joe’s in Tampa on Saturday! Check back on Thursday for more info. on where you can find us and what we’ll be giving away.
