Will digital condoms make safe sex more stimulating? (video)

The "electric eel" provides users with "pleasurable" electro stimulation

Bill Gates recently announced a $1 million prize to researchers who could produce the next generation of condoms. The challenge's main goal was to make safe sex more pleasurable. The contest has yielded some interesting results, including a digital condom.

Georgia Tech researchers, Fraz Peer and Andrew Quitmeyer, created several prototypes of a digital condom they call the "Electric Eel." The condom sends electric impulses to both parties during sex to create a more stimulating connection. The inventors personally tested the device on themselves and others, claiming the resulting sensation was exciting and pleasurable.
