Ybor City’s new boutique hotel, Hotel Haya, has been named one of USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards of 2020 for Best New Hotel.
A group of five travel experts and writers selected the 20 hotels from all across the country, and now they’re looking for you to pick the winner. Voters will have until Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. to vote for a final 10, and to see who nabs the top spot.
As of publication, Hotel Haya is in second place behind The Abbey Inn & Spa in Peekskill, New York.
Describing its vibe as "Old Ybor City charm meets modern flair,” Hotel Haya offers three dining options: Café Quiquiriqui, upscale restaurant Flor Fina and the Haya Pool Bar. The hotel, located at 1412 E. 7th Ave, opened on Sept. 24 of this year.
This isn’t the first time Tampa Bay has been featured in USA Today’s list—last year the Florida Aquarium came in as the second best aquarium in North America.
Voting can be done at 10best.com, and winners will be announced on Dec. 31.
