St Petersburg’s 600 block murals
648 1st Ave N, Saint Petersburg, FL, USA
A sprawl of about a dozen murals cover the buildings behind Central Ave’s 600 block. It’s where you take your out-of-state-visitors to see St.Petersburg’s artistic reputation in real life, perhaps after dinner or before a show at State Theater. And yes, you’ll almost always see someone taking pictures for Instagram in front of them.

 Tara’s Roti
    10006 N 30th St, Tampa, Florida, (813) 866-8272
Probably the most authentic Trinidadian food you’ll find in the Tampa Bay area, and Tara’s Roti is a little hard to find hidden in a large plaza next to about dozen other storefronts. Fresh dishes are made daily, and yes the 75 year old Tara herself stills serves customers.

18. Rooster & the Till
    4.5 out 5 stars, 492 reviews
6500 N Florida Ave, Seminole Heights, Tampa
"I ate here on a busy Friday night. The food was unique and well thought out. The chef certainly tries to incorporate unique flavors and blend different culinary traditions. At first I was skeptical about the options for vegetarians like myself but turns out the menu rotated frequently and it wasn't at all a disappointment. I had the paratha which was basically an Indian style paratha grilled and with topping of raita. What made it interesting were the dates and fried plantains on top. It was a great starter dish. I think it could have been made better with addition of a bit of heat- but then again I love the mix of spicy and sweet foods! The wine list is the other reason to come here. It's long and affordable with excellent wines" - Ruchi D.
