Florida gas prices

The national average Tuesday was about $3.33.

The AAA auto club said Florida’s average price was $2.95 a gallon.

Besides gas prices, airfares are up 22 percent and hotel rooms are up 17 percent.

The largest Monday-to-Wednesday increases were in Gainesville and Jacksonville, where average prices went up 15 cents.

The cheapest gas was in the Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Panama City markets.

The AAA auto club said the statewide average price Monday was $4.26 a gallon, 63 cents lower than a record high set in June.

The most-expensive gas in Florida is in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
