Florida kicks off another sales-tax holiday ahead of peak hurricane season

The holiday periods are part of a tax package (HB 7073) that lawmakers and Gov. Ron DeSantis approved this year.

The research group Florida TaxWatch estimated that the back-to-school tax holiday could save Florida consumers $100 million.

Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried issued a statement that said many of the tax breaks were aided by federal stimulus money.
