Duke Energy Florida reaches settlement to increase rates

The proposal would increase base rates by $203 million in 2025 and $59 million in 2026.

The proposed increases would come on top of Duke and Tampa Electric hikes that took effect this month.

The three large privately owned utilities also increased customer bills earlier this year because of gas prices.
