Creative Loafing reluctantly endorses Orlando Gudes for Tampa City Council District 5

This is perhaps the most difficult choice voters face (albeit just those in District 5).

The dismissal comes two months after the City of Tampa announced a separate $200,000 settlement for Gudes’ accuser.

‘I have been covering Tampa politics for 40 years and have never seen anything like what is going on at City Hall these days.’

Gudes stepped down as chair today, after several councilmen have called on him to resign.
