Tampa music education hero Robert McCormick hosts annual marimba festival this weekend at USF

In the fall, CL named Robert McCormick Tampa Bay’s “Best Undersung Champion Of Composers’ Dreams.” The USF professor (pictured) keeps aiming high this weekend with his annual marimba festival, which features guest university performers and professional artists from around the country.

This year includes ensembles include from Penn State , University of Colorado, University of North Carolina Greensboro, Radford University of Virginia, University of Central Florida and Florida Atlantic University—and, as always, admission to all events starting Friday and through Saturday, is free
