✔️Fundraiser for family of Charles Burns w/Achilles/Jeremy Gloff/Keisha Palmer/Rising Down/Kid Loki/Wally Clark The creative community has once again banded together in hopes of lending a hand to one of its own. On Valentine's Day, Nancy Dejesus's apartment burned down, and while no one was hurt, the mother of Bay area rapper and visual artist Charles Burns lost everything. Tonight's musical lineup features some of Burns' biggest supporters and raffle items include apparel, photo packages, art and at least one chance to rub Wally Clark's beard. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO
✔️ Fossil Youth w/Northbound/Phantom Phunk Big-voiced Murfreesboro singer-songwriter Bogues won’t be on this leg of Fossil Youth’s spring tour (he joined the band for a February swing through the northeast and Midwest). That’s alright, however, because Fossil Youth’s latest (A Glimpse of Self Joy) is an indie-pop record that’s still fun to dance and sing along to despite being released two years ago. Boca Raton songwriter Jonathan Fraser brings his Northbound project — which can exist as a solo acoustic act or a full band — to open the show along with Tampa alt-rock quartet Phantom Phunk. Per usual, this show at The Bends is a no-cover affair. (The Bends, St. Petersburg) INFO
Tim Reynolds & TR3 w/Christie Lenee A 1999 live album with Dave Matthews (Live at Luther College) made Tim Reynolds infamous among millennial college-rock fans, but his output includes nearly a dozen solo releases and about just as many with his group, TR3. The ensemble headlines this show under the Skipperdome; Christie Lenee opens (the Nashville songwriter also plays a headlining set at St. Pete’s Hideaway Café on March 2). Through Trial and Tribulation: Have Mercy's Brian Swindle talks about the new album
✔️ Senses Fail w/Reggie and the Full Effect/Have Mercy/Household Senses Fail sits at the top of this bill slated to turn up on a Tuesday, but celebratory vibes will be coming off of veteran punk-pop group Reggie and the Full Effect, which just released its seventh full-length, 41, the band’s first album in four years. “Reggie,” of course, is otherwise known as James Dewees, keyboardist for influential emo band The Get Up Kids. This year marks the band’s 20th anniversary and the beginning of a new artistic era for Dewees. Brian Swindle’s Have Mercy project — which CL profiled last April — and Kansas City quintet Household open the show. (Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO
