When it comes to breweries, Tampa Heights is on the come up. In August, the neighborhood welcomed Woven Water Brewing, which joined the neighborhood's two already bustling breweries, Hidden Springs Ale Works and Ulele (King State, 1.3 miles away, also makes it's own beer but out of Flying Boat in St. Petersburg). Most recently, locals were introduced to newcomer Magnanimous Brewing, which is now open at 1420 N. Florida Ave., just across the street from Café Hey.
When it comes to boozy options, Magnanimous' beer list includes nearly 20 pours, some of which are available to-go in either cans or bottles. No matter what your beer-drinking style, Magnanimous has carefully brewed everything from double IPAs to porters to sour ales. So come with an open mind, and your Uber app at the ready.
To give you an idea of what you’ll be sipping on, there’s the Pink Limousine, a sour blonde ale with raspberry and lemon (4.5% ABV), the Fuzzy Huggers IPA (6% ABV), and the Coffee Guy, an English-style porter with Brown Bear Coffee added (6.5% ABV).
The brewery has also been teaming up with local food trucks like La Carcachita Tacos to provide guests with eats while they drink their way through the tap list.
And if you need an upper with your downer, Magnanimous has you covered, too.
Today the brewery announced a partnership with Ginger Beard Coffee. Ginger Beard—which runs its flagship out of nearby Pour House 1.5 miles away— is set to run the Magnanimous’ coffee program starting this Saturday, Oct. 24 from 7 a.m.-noon. So if you want to get your pre-booze buzz on, you can slide by the brewery to grab Ginger Beard Coffee classics seven days a week after this Saturday’s launch.
Hours for Magnanimous are 3 p.m.-8 p.m. Sun.-Wed., 3 p.m.-10 p.m. Thu., and noon-10 p.m. Fri.-Sat.
