Lectores returns to the University of Tampa

The University of Tampa’s Master of Fine Arts program continues its Lectores series of public readings with a visit from writers Elizabeth Engelman and Jessica Anthony.

Elizabeth Engelman’s essays have been published in The New York Times and Endeavor Magazine, and in 2014, her poem “Filling Empty Spaces” was published in Letters, Yale’s Literary & Art Magazine. She received her MFA from the University of Tampa, where she was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award. She also writes the blog ondeafness.com, discussing how to raise children with hearing impediments.

Jessica Anthony, along with designer Rodrigo Corral, is the author of Chopsticks, a book called a "21st Century Novel” by the Los Angeles Times and deemed an Amazon Book of the Month. She also authored The Convalescent, an ALA Adult Notable Book and Barnes and Noble “Discover Great New Writers” selection, and several short stories, published in Best New American Voices, Best American Nonrequired Reading, and other publications.

A Q&A and book signing will follow the readings.
