Palm Harbor's Pint and Brew expands with downtown Tampa taproom

In addition to local beer, there's a straightforward bill of pub grub.

Driven down the one-way Tampa Street in downtown Tampa lately? Palm Harbor's Pint and Brew recently expanded its impressive craft beer selection — an homage to Florida breweries of sorts — to the other side of the bay at 200 N. Tampa St.

Located next door to Tropical Smoothie and neighbors with Hotel Bar, which is a few steps away, the second taproom for The Pint and Brew celebrated its grand opening on July 7. The industrial-style space features a laid-back feel with a few TVs (it really does give off brewery vibes), and there's a straightforward bill of pub grub available during lunch and dinner, plus to patrons with late-night cravings.

Caribbean wings, seven kinds of upscale grilled cheese sandwiches, a huge portion of loaded kettle chips, and mac 'n' cheese skillets are among the featured dishes. CL's not sure how to feel about the "healthy toasts" section of the menu (yeah, you know exactly what's listed here), but to each their own.

Oh, and for the non-beer-drinking crowd, popular wines are also on hand.

Though it hasn't been open for long, the taproom drew a pretty great after-work crowd on our recent visit. Perhaps it's the happy hour, which offers $1-off drafts and $5 wines from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
