Welcome to Tampa Bay, Leonard Fournette

It's a great time to be Bucs fan on Madden.

The Bucs’ recent signing of Leonard Fournette may make them OP in Madden, but we’ll have to see how Fournette does with TB12 and the rest of the Tompa Bay Buccaneers.

Fournette was officially released earlier Wednesday by the Jacksonville Jaguars following his clearing of waivers, and the Bucs immediately snatched him up by the end of the day, according to Adam Schefter

The former LSU Tiger’s fifth-year option was declined by the Jags, as Fournette had become a bit… animated on his Twitter account, with his open calling for Cam Newton to come to Jacksonville (despite already having a “starting QB” in Gardner Minshew) among other questionable tweets.

But the talent is undeniable. He was a Top-5 pick for a reason, and has had some incredibly productive seasons. Last year he had 1,674 yards from scrimmage, good for sixth in the NFL, and showed considerable improvement as a pass catcher, which may be unnecessary as the Bucs also have Ronald Jones, who racked up 31 catches for 309 yards.

This does leave the Bucs in a bit of a predicament; they recently signed LeSean McCoy, a veteran back who was expected to shoulder a lot of the carries. Will the Bucs keep McCoy, Jones, Fournette, and their recent third-round pick, Ke'Shawn Vaughn? That’s a lot of talent, and there’s only one football. It’s never a bad thing to have depth, but this could cause some locker room problems, especially with Fournette’s recent history of questionable behavior.

In Fournette’s defense, he was playing for the Jaguars. Who wouldn’t be going crazy having to not only live in Jacksonville, but also take handoffs from Blake Bortles?
