It takes a special kind of person to use a kid as part of a robbery scheme. Here's a story about a pair of humans who used one to rob elderly people twice.

Tampa police are looking for a couple who robbed a home on North Beverly Avenue on Halloween before possibly doing it again the next day. The two similar cases happened just a few miles from each other, according to WFLA.

Investigators told the TV station that in each of the cases, the couple approached the elderly victims and told them they remembered them from several years ago when they did roof work there.

"During the conversation, they asked the victims if the child, a little boy, could use the bathroom.," WFLA wrote. "After they went inside, the man also asked to use the restroom. Police say the man, while down the hall, used the opportunity to steal whatever he could."

Thankfully no one was physically hurt, and a surveillance camera at a nearby home captured an the suspect's car — a late model black Chrysler 300 with chrome trim, according to police — driving by the victim's home, backing up and then pulling into the victim's driveway.

"The thing that gets me is they had that little boy," one victim said. "He was probably six or seven, he wasn't very old — and he was in on it too because, like I said, he had a story."
