A new mural at Armature Works is set to kick off a campaign to provide vision correction for underserved children in Tampa Bay.

The mural is a part of Glazer Vision’s #OneShareOnePair campaign, and promises to provide children with a free eye exam and glasses every time someone tags the mural on social media, says a press release.

To be a part of the campaign, people must share either a photo of the mural, a selfie with the mural or a selfie wearing any type of glasses, then tag @glazervisionfdn and use the hashtag #OneShareOnePair.

The mural, which is located on the north side of the food hall's property, was designed and curated by Pep Rally Inc., a local art studio that has created many community art projects throughout the city.

Glazer Vision Foundation has provided more than 100,000 free eye screenings and 20,000 free prescription glasses to children since its creation over a decade ago.

Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, owner and president of the foundation, said that one in four children have impaired vision while one in five are unable to afford proper eye care. She encourages Tampa Bay residents to join the campaign to give visually impaired children the tools they need to excel in school.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to excel in school to the best of their ability, yet one in four children are affected by vision impairment and one in five can’t afford eye care,” said Kassewitz. “We encourage the community to help spread awareness of this silent vision crisis by sharing selfies and photos of the mural with #OneShareOnePair as we join together to provide free eye exams and glasses to all children in need.”
