Looks like you'll no longer have to drive into the 'Burg for your Poppo's Taqueria fix. The brand announced that it will soon launch a location in downtown Tampa. A social media post shows the location moving into the old Holy Hogg BBQ located across from Tampa City Hall at 302 E Kennedy Blvd.

The fast-casual restaurant also has locations in Sarasota, Anna Maria, St. Petersburg as well as a handful in Bradenton. Poppo's is a Manatee County-based, family-owned chain that is quickly spreading throughout the greater Tampa Bay Area.

The menu is loaded with Mexican street food inspired by San Francisco's Mission District. The joint serves tacos, burritos, bowls and quesadillas alongside a selection of craft beer, sodas and kombucha.

You might want to follow the taqueria on social media (@poppostacos) to get in on its Name Day event which happens about every two weeks. The promo finds the restaurant announcing a name, which most recently was "Travis," and anyone with that name can claim two free tacos. It's that simple.

Another way to snag free eats is through Poppo's Pups. The initiative partners with local adoption and rescue organizations. When you adopt from one of Poppo's partners, you'll hop on the "taco train" and receive two free tacos or a free burrito. Damn, instant good karma. Until the build-your-own-taco spot launches in downtown Tampa, you can slide to its St. Pete location at 1033 Central Ave.
