You bet your ass doughnut bacon burgers are on the menu at ‘Taste of the Fair Drive-Thru.’

The start of the Florida State Fair may have been pushed back to April, but you don’t need the fair proper to get the best part—the food. The Taste of the Fair drive-thru, located on 2702 E. Busch Blvd., offers everything from fresh-squeezed lemonade to deep fried Oreos to candy apples and multiple meats on a stick.

Taste of the Fair had originally planned to the Busch Boulevard location Feb. 2 but owner Matthew Lauther told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay he’s not sure of his plans yet. He suggests following their Facebook page for updates

Lauther—who owns the trailers on site at the drive-thru—ensures that the wait usually isn’t too long. And for now, Taste of the Fair is open noon until midnight seven days a week.

If you don’t feel like driving-thru, Taste of the Fair is also on Uber Eats. Just remember some fried stuff doesn’t travel well so don’t be disappointed if your footlong corn dog is a little soggy. But for now, it’s your best bet if you’re craving fair food.

The Florida State Fair stated in a press release Wednesday that the original dates of Feb. 11-22 are pushed back from to April 22-May 2, 2021. Presale tickets for the fair will start going on sale Feb. 1. If you already purchased tickets for the original dates, you can transfer them to the new dates. According to the website, there are no refunds.

CDC and Florida Department of Health guidelines will also be followed at the Fair, according to the press release. This means a mask requirement, sanitation stations and a new layout for the inside portion.

“With a solid safety plan in place, we remain confident in providing a safe family entertainment experience,” Cheryl Flood, Executive Director of the Florida State Fair said in the release.
