You can make art on any subject — even red tide, apparently.

Ode to Red Tide is a showcase of expressive art to address the effects of Red Tide and other oceanic challenges.

The Gallery at Carrollwood Cultural Center is now accepting 2D and 3D entries from living artists, ages 13 and older, throughout Florida. Any medium is accepted. The entrance fee ranges from $25 to $85 and artists can submit up to five pieces.

A reception and silent auction is scheduled for Friday, March 22 from 5 until 8 p.m. and the Gallery will donate a portion of the proceeds earned through the art to the Florida Aquarium.

The deadline to apply is Saturday, February 16.
