You already know that Tampa Bay is pretty much rain city right now, but gross weather in the Northeast is causing a backup at Tampa International Airport (TPA), too.
TIA just sent out a Twitter message saying that there are currently 129 delayed flights and 14 cancellations.
The airport suggests checking your airline flight for confirmation. We suggest finding that airport bar and giving up on getting up the Eastern Seaboard right now.
Following record-breaking rainfall, the National Weather Service says the Tampa Bay area is currently under a flood watch watch until at least Friday evening, with chances of rain reaching 80% Friday.
So far in 2019, Tampa International has already blasted through 2018’s total rainfall numbers of 29.7 inches, with 41.5 inches with 5 months remaining in 2019.
Due to inclement weather in the Northeast, we are currently seeing 129 delays and 14 cancellations. Please check with your airline for flight information.
