We have a theory that fresh sushi and poke just tastes better by the water, and Madeira Beach’s newest casual restaurant Pete’s Sushi & Poke brings that notion to life.

A self-explanatory name, Pete’s Sushi & Poke offers an extensive raw fish-driven menu of both made-to-order sashimi and speciality sushi rolls alongside build-your-own poke bowls with options like cabbage, avocado, seaweed, rice and, of course, marinated, fresh tuna.

This new Madeira Beach restaurant also offers classic Japanese appetizers like seaweed salad, miso soup, edamame, shrimp tempura and fried tofu all served in what Yelpers have described as a relaxed and sleek atmosphere.

Pete’s—located at 14995 Gulf Blvd. on Madeira Beach—has only been open for a few weeks, but it's already obtaining positive online reviews from Tampa Bay sushi and poke lovers alike. It's open Mon.-Fri. from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sat.-Sun. 11:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
