Are you into architecture, or do you just like to celebrate Tampa Bay and all the cool stuff that's happening as downtown comes alive?

The Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Florida Foundation for Architecture are currently running their annual online People's Choice Competition, wherein folks all over the world can vote for one of the 39 Sunshine State buildings included on this year's digital ballot. Now in its fifth year, the contest has seen exponential growth as more Florida residents take an interest in how their communities are developing and represented.

This year, the Tampa Riverwalk is one of the featured structures, along with USF St. Pete's Kate Tiedemann College of Business, Lakeland Regional Health's Hollis Cancer Center, Sarasota's Alfred R. Goldstein Library at Ringling College of Art and Design, and a few other West Central Florida works of architectural art.

You don't have to vote for a building in your hometown — hell, you don't even have to live in Florida to vote. But you gotta vote by July 20, and of course, as cool as all of these structures are, we're gonna lean in favor of the Riverwalk, which is helping revitalize a formerly pretty dormant downtown Tampa.
