Neil Diamond, Casting Crowns announce Tampa shows

Amalie Arena and the USF Sundome are the venues.

Neil Diamond's been singing the sparkling hits for half a century now, and today he announced a new, 39-date world tour that includes an April 23 stop at Tampa's Amalie Arena.

The 75-year-old Brooklyn Boy has sold over 125 million albums and charted almost four dozen Top 40 singles. A press release points out that he's been nominated for 13 Grammy awards and enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Stops on the tour include Toronto, Dallas, Detroit and a two-night stand in Los Angeles.

UPDATE: Global contemporary Christian outfit Casting Crowns have announced a March 18 stop at the USF Sundome in support of their latest studio LP, The Very Next Thing. Danny Gokey and Unspoken will play support. Tickets will cost $26-$76 and go on sale December 9 at 10 a.m. EST. More information on the show is available at local.cltampa.com.
