For a second year, the annual Minute After Minute, Sour After Sour is billed as a “gangsta’s paradise” of sours and wild ales.
Specialty bottle releases and keg tappings invade Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday during this beer bash, which features drafts like Angry Chair Bluebs (Berliner weisse with blueberries and lemon zest), Cascade Midnight Bramble (wheat and blonde ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 18 months with black and red raspberries, ginger and thyme) and Calusa Golden Petal (golden sour dry-hopped with Citra).
The other participating breweries include Hidden Springs, J. Wakefield, Upland, Black Project and Cantillon. And yes, the St. Petersburg beer den has tums on hand, as well as celebratory tunes.
