Look, we know they play at Jannus every 20 minutes or so, but come on, people. THE DAVE MATTHEWS COVER BAND IS NOT FROM THE BAY AREA. They're from Athens, Ga., though we're fairly sure that musically legendary college town would probably love for us to claim their sunny, strummy, DMB-approved export as our own. Pay us to, even. Jammy, Deadite runners-up Uncle Johns Band are locals, on the other hand, who've been drawing loyal throngs to their regular Thursday-night Skipper's Smokehouse gig for quite a while now. Give it up.
