Tampeños will have even more recreation options this weekend. Starting Saturday, June 13, the City of Tampa is opening additional outdoor amenities and recreational facilities, including basketball and volleyball courts and these seasonal pools:
- Copeland Pool, 11001 N. 15th St., 33612
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Pool, 2200 N. Oregon Ave., 33607
- Spicola Pool, 2615 Corrine St., 33605
- Williams Pool, 4362 E. Osborne Ave., 33610
A City of Tampa spokesperson told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that today's announcement includes the reopening of all playgrounds. Park shelters will also be open to parties of 50 or less.
“Please be aware that social distancing is still required while enjoying our parks, park amenities, and recreation facilities. Gatherings may not exceed 50 people,” a press release says. “Splash pads will remain closed at this time.”
