✔️ = Critic's Pick

✔️ Miguel w/Sir/Nonchalant Savant Jesus may have risen from the dead on Easter, but Miguel is about to make some other stuff rise when he appears at this head-scratchingly intimate gig in support of his new album, War & Leisure. The Grammy-winning, sexed-up crooner possesses one of the silkiest, steamiest voices in R&B and last played the area as the opening act on Alicia Keys’ 2013 tour (which stopped at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, now Amalie Arena). We’re really baffled as to why he’s playing a room as small as The Ritz, but you can bet we’ll be all up on the railing trying to catch droplets of sweat at this one. (The Ritz, Ybor City) SOLD OUT

✔️ Udo Dirkschneider So we were totally wrong when we thought that Udo Dirkschneider’s January 2017 show might be our last chance to see him play Accept songs live and in person. “Originally it was our plan to go back to touring with [Dirkschneider’s long-running band] U.D.O. in 2017,” he said in a recent statement. “But we have received an incredible number of emails and letters from fans begging us to continue with DIRKSCHNEIDER, and as there are still so many (Accept) songs left to be sung, we have decided to bow to your demands.” Get your fix at this Easter show. FIRST LOOK
Shuffle is almost ready for Tampa Heights

✔️ Wu-Tang & Biscuits w/Wally Clark If you need a reprieve from the Armature Works crowds, waddle over a few blocks toward Shuffle, a new neighborhood bar (and corndog stronghold) for an afternoon of biscuit flinging (biscuits are the disks players use during a game of Shuffleboard). One of CL’s favorite producers, Wally Clark, will be bringing da ruckus and leaning really hard on songs by Wu-Tang Clan. We’ll take “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’” over the mystery of faith any day. I HEAR YOU, BROTHER
Listen to "Brother Ray," the title track from WAHH World Fusion Band's new album

✔️ WAHH World Fusion Band Brother Ray Album Release Party Expect a healthy showing from faithful listeners of Tampa Bay community radio station WMNF 88.5 FM when WAHH World Fusion band plays a Tampa release show for Brother Ray, its new CD, which holds the last bits of music recorded by Ray Villadonga, a station staple and music scene lynchpin. Read our story on Villadonga’s legacy here. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO

[Beatsnchill] w/JXPVTTY/Bandesla/Eric Houston/Deaudrick Williams As the name suggests, this might be the most laid-back beat-centric thing you can do while your religious friends spend the afternoon eating devilled eggs to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus H. Christ. Tampa emcee Deaudrick Williams will do songs from his 2017 LP 99 Ford Escort, but expect to mostly just kick it while Bay area producers share their latest creations.
