The University of Tampa Press is giving the community a bigger-than-usual gift this holiday season — the first double issue of its exemplary literary journal, The Tampa Review. This edition's jacket even looks gift-wrapped; the cover photo is a shot of UT's Plant Hall when it was swathed in phantasmagoric lights during Jorge Orta's installation for Lights On Tampa. To celebrate the publication of volumes 30 and 31/32, plus the university's 75th anniversary, the Press is throwing a party Friday at Plant Hall with music and refreshments, plus — the stars of the show — writers Rachel Moran, Gianna Russo, John Fairweather and Peter Meinke reading from their contributions to the journal. Fri., Dec. 8, 5-7:30 p.m., The Music Room and West Verandah, Plant Hall-UT, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa.
