Maybe your dad doesn't love the typical tie, and that's OK. If he has an artsy side, or appreciates beautiful things, maybe the best thing you can do for him is take him to the Chihuly to admire (what we think are some of the most) staggeringly beautiful pieces of glass artistry you'll find in St. Petersburg (and, actually, we have some pretty amazing glass work all around St. Petersburg).
The Chihuly is the only of the three Morean art facilities that charges admission — but for Father's Day, they're letting dads in for free, so long as there's a paid admission (that'd be you) with him. And, hey, while you've got him there, why not hop across the street and take in the exhibits at the Morean Arts Center, then maybe walk (or drive) over to the Morean Center for Clay. All three arts destinations on one day? Think of it as giving your dad triplets, which, while it's not as ho-hum as a tie, is definitely a lot more work for dad than spending the afternoon taking in some of St. Petersburg's art scene.
