President Donald Trump thought it was absolutely hilarious when a supporter at a Florida campaign rally suggested shooting migrants as they crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.

During the Panama City Beach rally Wednesday night, Trump was bemoaning that "15,000 people marching up" to the border but there are only "two or three border security people that are brave and great."

"And don't forget – we don't let them and we can't let them use weapons," Trump told the crowd. "We can't. Other countries do. We can't. I would never do that. But how do you stop these people?" Media organizations and audience members present said someone in the crowd then shouted, "Shoot them!" Trump and the rally then had a big ol' giggle at state-sanctioned murder. "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with that statement," Trump said. "Only in the Panhandle!"

The Washington Post reports this isn't the first time Trump has complained about the lack of weapons at the border. Earlier this year, he told Fox News host Sean Hannity that using guns at the border would be "very effective" but not something the federal government could do.

"Other countries stand there with machine guns, ready to fire," Trump told Hannity. "We can't do that. I wouldn't want to do that, okay? It's a very effective way of doing it but I wouldn't want to do it. We can't do it."
