Ybor City’s Hotel Haya is teaming up with Union Three Studio to host its very first Chicken Yoga class. Yes, you read that right. All levels are welcome, although there are limited spots so make sure to register ASAP.
On Feb. 28, from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m., attendees will be joined by chickens from the Ybor Misfits Microsanctuary. This means you’ll be trying to nail a downward dog pose while chicks roam free throughout the space. It will be a real lesson in discipline, and at the very least a very Instagrammable moment.
While this class is free to attend, organizers are accepting donations that will go to the Microsanctuary to directly assist in caring for the beloved feather friends of Ybor.
It is recommended to leave your jewelry at home, as Charlotte the chicken (pictured above) is drawn to shiny objects.
While there will be sanitizer, water, and towels on-site, be sure to bring your own mat and mask. Valet parking is available for $10 (street parking is available, too). This is also a good excuse to check out the hotel’s Café Quiquiriqui for a post-yoga cafe con leche.
